This past Friday was pretty ill because my boys held it down in the dj booth for their NYC debut on one of the best rated sound systems in NYC at club LOVE.
Razzil, Basek, and Furious Styles make up the core of the dj crew known as Mental Implants whose focus is on soulful drum and bass, dubstep, and house. Its funny because I've been a regular at the Secret Night of Science for about two years and DB always brings the illest DJ's and these guys definitely held their own. We were dancing until around 4:30AM and there were people all the way from Boston and Detroit in the house. They definitely held it down for Connecticut and the steppers had a good time.
Depending on cashflow I might hit up DubWar this week since Martyn and Ladyman will be the guests. Martyn just actually got off tour with Flying Lotus and Kode9 so I'm sure he's still on fire. Check out his blog here.
